Wednesday, Nov. 23rd, 2011 at Move Me NYC
Name: Carson
Style of Dance: Contemporary/ Modern
Bio:

Born across the river but grew up in NYC and was raised in the world of creation with a mother, who was an actress, and three siblings, all in the arts. She was handed a paintbrush at young age and was able to add to her mother’s paintings or take off on her own flights of fancy on various walls of the house. Alongside music history lessons at the dinner table and while most children were rewarded for taking the trash out, her reward came from knowing what piece of music was playing, who composed it, and who was performing it. So art + music= dance?
And now…. She has lived and danced in Holland, Austria, Spain and Germany. Traveled most of Europe, to parts of the middle east, and recently returned from a project called Crossings, an international platform for dance, music and light design, in South Africa. As a freelancer in NYC she worked with Malcolm Low, Cleo Mack, Jolea Maffei,  Loni Landon, Yin Yue, Kate Grifler, Lucy Streuver, Ana Kielson,  Adrian Jevichi, and has collaborated with theatre group Liqvid Theatre(RU),  writer Kirk Bromley(NY),  music group JigSaw Soul and presented solo work at The Hatch Series(NY) Rover Soho(NY) Taloma Arts Center(VA). Carson holds a BA from Anton Brucker Universitat(AU) after attending CODARTS(NL) .
